This is our favorite shopping basket! It holds a lot, and the sturdy handles fit on your shoulder. The finer weave makes it even stronger and prettier. Beautiful and durable, they are hand-woven from the elephant grass which grows in the rich flood plains of the White Volta near the village of Bolgatanga in Northern Ghana. Each weaver chooses the style they will make which means there may be slight variations from the ones pictured - each one is completely unique! Please note: we receive and ship our baskets flat packed, but they can easily be reshaped as many times as needed.
Easily reshape your basket by quickly submerging it in water (keep the leather dry), reshaping it by hand, and letting it dry.
